“an experience that will crack you open!

Holotropic-style Breathwork, also called “psychedelic Breathwork,” uses deep, connected breaths to stimulate the nervous system, release stored energy, and access part of the subconscious mind.

This practice promotes emotional clarity, self-awareness, and the release of stored trauma, making it ideal for breaking through mental blocks and create long-lasting change.

Activating Breathwork

a practice to meet the moment

down-regulative breathwork

Meditative Breathwork, on the other hand, is a more gentle and down-regulating practice that uses slow, deep breaths to relax the body and calm the mind.

This style is ideal for reducing anxiety, promoting restful sleep, and finding a sense of connection and inner peace. The experience leaves you feeling deeply restored and centered.

You can practice with me in-person in the Seattle, WA area, as well as online anywhere. Every session is intentionally co-created and tailored to meet your specific needs in the present moment.

My approach integrates a dynamic blend of somatic modalities, with a musical experience to navigate the depth of the emotional body, alongside a deep commitment to self-exploration.

breath

Holotropic-style breathwork taps into the transformative power of altered states of consciousness, allowing you to access parts of the mind often hidden from everyday awareness. This journey inward provides a rare opportunity to bypass mental barriers, reaching layers of emotion and memory that are left unprocessed. Through this practice, the breath works to unearth and meet trauma stored deeply within the body.

An excavation of the human mind

As these blockages clear, the brain begins to rewire, creating new pathways that dissolve long-held beliefs and patterns. This process encourages a release that can feel profound and deeply healing. Ultimately, this practice fosters greater inner peace, balance, and restores a sense of wholeness that supports overall well-being and mental health.

Create space in your day to drop inwards. Whether we meet in-person or online, tune off outside distractions and create an atmosphere that's conducive to relaxation and self-inquiry.

We often hear the phrase ‘hurt people hurt others,’ and I know this cycle firsthand. I've made it my mission to help others feel truly seen and heard, holding space for those parts of themselves they might feel the urge to hide. In creating a safe, supportive environment, I invite you to explore and process your emotional wounds, allowing you to move through life with compassion and a greater sense of love for yourself and others.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should I expect during a breathwork session?

During our session, you'll be guided through specific breathing techniques while lying or sitting comfortably. You may experience physical sensations like tingling or lightheadedness, as well as emotional releases or a deep sense of relaxation. Every session is unique, and I will create a safe, supportive space to help you navigate whatever arises.

2. Are there contraindications to practice breathwork?

Yes, certain conditions may require caution or a modified approach to Breathwork. These include pregnancy, severe asthma, seizure disorders, cardiovascular issues, conditions requiring regular medication (such as glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, and epilepsy), uncontrolled high blood pressure, or panic attacks and psychosis.

Breathwork can be intense, and some techniques may not be suitable for everyone. If you have any medical or mental health concerns, consult your healthcare provider and let me know in advance so we can tailor the practice to your needs and ensure a safe, supportive experience.

3. Do I need any experience or special equipment to start practicing breathwork?

No experience or equipment is needed for breathwork —just a quiet, comfortable space., a yoga mat, and a blanket. I will guide the session with breathing techniques tailored to your goals, making this practice accessible for anyone who wish to improve their mental well-being.

4. How long does a session typically last?

My sessions last between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the type of Breathwork we practice, and your goals. We start with a check-in to discuss how I can best meet you in the moment, and set intentions before getting started.

I will lead you through a grounding practice to drop into the present, and then begin the breathing practice. I will close our session with a reflection and integration period.

5. what can I expect post session?

After a Breathwork session, you may feel deeply relaxed, rejuvenated, or emotionally lighter. Some people experience a sense of clarity, calm, or connection to themselves, while others might feel tired as their body integrates the practice. It’s normal for emotions or memories to surface, and you may continue processing them in the hours or days following.

Drink plenty of water, rest if needed, and consider journaling to capture any insights. Everyone’s experience is unique, but the benefits often deepen with regular practice.

I’m here to support you on your journey of personal growth and emotional well-being.
